Finally I’m back with an update.
First of all I’d like to thank everyone at RosFest for the great hospitality and support. I think that I can speak for the whole band when I say that Karmakanic had a great time in The US.
And, what an audience!! Giving us a standing ovation in the middle of the set was overwhelming, and I know that Göran was touched by you guys singing “Happy Birthday” to him in the beginning of the show.
Later that evening there was a jam session at the Sheraton Hotel and I joined Jonas and Krister on stage for a jazz jam.We played a weird rendition of “On Green Dolphin Street” as well as a minor blues. That weekend, after signing cd’s and hanging out,we had the chance to check out Philadelphia. It was also great to get the chance to hang out with my new buddies Sir Millard Mulch, Ray and Noreen. Thanks everyone for making us feel at home, and thanks for being great people as well as fans of great music!
Check out the photo Gallery if you want to check out some pictures from the trip and stay tuned for a new Karmakanic album this fall.
I would also like to thank the people who came to the screening of the upcoming “Seven Deadly Pieces” DVD at Dunkers Kulturhus over here in Sweden. It was fun to see the reaction of the audience, even though it was a small crowd. The people I talked to seemed touched by the emotional impact of the piece and the strong footage (war victims, starvation etc…) used in the Epilogue. We will finish the documentary and the audio commentary this summer.
I am looking forward to an official DVD release, hopefully in a not too distant future. A seven minute long trailer of the DVD will soon be posted.www.lalelarson.com www.lalelarson.com www.lalelarson.com www.lalelarson.com www.lalelarson.com
Thanks for your support,

Legendary swedish magazine “OrkesterJournalen” (OJ) gave the solo piano CD “State Of Mind” a great review in their No 9 issue.
“Larson has a distinct touch, plays as clear as glass and very melodic”
“Larson - a skillful soloist”
The non-Swedish readers probably don’t know anything about Owe. But for everyone in Sweden he’s an institution in the entertainment business. Owe has been around since the early ’50s, writing many of the most well-known and most recorded songs the last four and a half decades.
This album is straight blues-rock with some interesting musicians doing the comping. I play all the piano and hammond organ parts on his latest release “Recovered”. Among the other musicians we have: Benny Jansson (XSavior), Anders Johansson (Malmsteen, Hammerfall), Per Stadin (Silver Mountain) and guests such as: John Holm, Svante Thuresson, Jalle Lorensson and Peps Persson.
