Lalle Larsson & Thomas Widlund - Marimba Flesheaters

The music of Marimba Flesheaters, featuring Lalle Larsson and percussionist Thomas Widlund, requires almost inhuman practice schedules. Some pieces, for example, had to be rehearsed for a year before they could be performed in front of an audience. Larsson’s meticulous sense of detail can be heard in “The Electric Lobster Marimba Sandwich”, a short piece, one and a half minutes long, but with a 40 page score.

Todd Duane & Lale Larson

Demos & bootlegs 1992-1993 (18-19 years old) full tracks

Psychotic Ward

A bad quality 4-track recording of one of Todd’s tunes. Todd recorded another version of this tune that became the opening track of his album “Omnipresent”.

Live at AIM - The Frankfurt Musicfair Show (1993)

Scatterbrained
Double Delight

I have seen this whole “bootleg” concert being traded on the internet. It has become some sort of collectors item. Here you can download two tracks.

Various Solo Clips

Dreamstate (solo)
Soulkiss (solo section with Todd Duane)
Double Delight (solo)

These solos are taken from the Todd & Lale demos 1992-1993.

Fireworks - Electric keyboard solos

Various short abstract keyboard solos and live recordings from Vienna 1992-1993 (18-19 years old)

Atmosphere
Going To America
Weirdo
Congratulations

When I was about 18 years old I recorded some pretty short abstract keyboard solos that later came to be traded on cassettes around the world. I have received several mails asking if I will put them on this site. It’s funny how these abstract pieces of noise could attract so much attention, but I suppose it sounded fresh and new at the time. I decided to put them here as a nice document in time…

From Cosmic Monstrositors

Space Duck (featuring Phi Yaan Zek and Todd Duane)

My good friend Phye Yaan Zek (The artist formerly known as Phi Ansari) put together this project while we were studying at the American Institute Of Music in Vienna. I had just turned 18. This is a 4-track recording done with a drum machine so it all sounds pretty awful. Still, for me it has a youthful energy and it brings back some good memories from that time in Vienna.
